The next step was to make all of those clothes look like they had been lived in by a cowboy so with the help of the Jase man we stomped, jumped, ground and generally beat dirt from a local construction site into the clothes.
To make thins a little more authentic I got some skoul (dip, chewing tobacco) to make a skoul ring in the jeans pocket and a pack of cards to create the shape of a cigarette pack in the breast pocket of some of the shirts. We were going for the real deal not the Disney version.
After the dirt bath there was a lot of distressing with sandpaper. I did all of the seams, elbows, cuffs, back of collars and pockets. On the denim and used the sandpaper everywhere to give a more worn look. It's much stronger and can take a lot more than the shirts can.
Sadly my iPhone camera does not do justice to the beating these clothes have taken! I need to use the good camera next time. The point is they look amazingly worn in and weathered considering most of the were never worn! I can't wait to share the images when they come back:)
