Panama Treasures: Part 2

I forgot 2 of the best pieces!!

This is Molas - Had embroidery but the Kuna women.  They do AMAZING things.  The traditional designs are more geometric shapes in the bright colors.  This is a cross between traditional and new.  The most modern designs are of animals and fish filled in rather than an outline.  They also do lots of birds and flowers.  I like the more modern designs but I wanted something a little more authentic which is why I chose this combo.

This is a basket made by the Embera Indian, another indigenous Indian tribe in Panama.  They weave baskets and other things - like the bowls from my last post.  This took a very long time to make.  The design is very intricate and there are lots of colors in the design.
