As you know by now date night is my favorite night of the week! Mr. Man and I decided to do a nice Park Slop walk on Saturday. We just headed down to 7th ave and walked. We passed a delicious coffee shop -
Cafe Dada - and had a Mochaccino which was absolutely scrumptious. Then we continued down 7th and passed
The Community Book Store of Park Slop which has a very current and trendy selection of food and design books. Almost puts Anthropology to shame! When we hit
Back to the Land natural grocery store which is like Whole Foods on steroids in the gluten free and supplement department! Did need to pick anything up but I can't wait for the chance to go back. We made it all the way to Brooklyn Industries and then headed back to 5th ave to make our way back. the plan was to have dinner and watch some of the March Madness games at 200 5th the sports bar (insert wife of the year award here....) but we passed
Juventino on the way and couldn't eat bar food after reading the menu. I was incredibly luck and got to try their Elk which is no longer listed on their online menu.

The decor is fantastic - I wish my kitchen had that much wine on newspaper lined shelves!
No the bread isn't gluten free but the cheese was soooooo yum!
I don't normally eat water creatures but I tried this salmon tartare and it was pretty great!
This is my oh so delicious elk with black lentils and creamy yummyness! It was already gluten free - a lot of things on their menu are - and it was a great size. I gave Mr. Man a few pieces of meat in the end but it was pretty perfect portion wise.
This is the most magical desert. Sadly, they do not have desert listed on their website. It probably changes daily. All I can tell you is Peanut butter and Jelly! There was gelato and rice puffs and peanut butter powder. Some chocolate and I don't know the rest but it was gluten free and amazing! If you are in the area I would highly recommend stopping by. Their staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about their menu and the ingredients used to create each item.
