Sperry Top-Sider’s Vacationland Part II

The Sperry Top Siders even last month was amazing!  In addition to gifting me the most amazing
Women's Rowan Heel by Milly they also gifted me a watch from their new Summer collection.  This lovely lady arrived a few days ago with a note and mini Top-sider key chain!  Perfect accessory for summer - stripes are totally a neutral from May - September.  And the little crab on the watch face is a nice little surprise detail.  I took her out for a test drive over the weekend and she was perfect with my Spring outfit.

She's a classic and hopefully will make it for quite a few summers.  Hello beach, sand and pool time!

Sephora Party

So I stopped in Sephora to pick up a few necessities like Benefit "They're Real" mascara and a Spehora brand waterproof eye liner.  At the check out they asked if I wanted to redeem any of my gazillion points and I thought, why not?  So to make it simple, here is my awesome swag:
This is an awesome color I can't wait to try on my cheeks and lips.
Already use their lip crayons and sheer power so this will probably be excellent.
This is my favorite.  The packaging alone won my hear over.

As you can probably tell by my little mini-photo shoot j'adore!!

And then to top it all off I needed new makeup remover and the girl I asked said these were the best.  So I said sweet:) and picked up a pack.  We shall see!!

Weekend Eats: Let's talk BBQ

I Love me so BBQ!  Like I grew up in Virgina and spent the summers in North Carolina, back yard, road side BBQ.  I don't take pulled pork or sauce lightly.  When I learned I was gluten intolerant I realized after the no cookiescakescupcakesbrowniespiesmuffinsfrenchbreadcroissant moment that I wouldn't be able to have my FAVORITE BBQ either: Potato buns for your pulled pork have flour in addition to all that potato AND most BBQ sauces have flour in them...... why you ask?  because it's cheap and makes things nice and thick.  So for the past year I have been eating bun-less pulled pork with no sauce:(

And then we decided to take an afternoon walk down 3rd ave.
Our habit has been stopping in cool looking restaurants and picking up a menu to talk home with us.  We could smell Fletcher's before we realized where or what it was.  My button nose can find good BBQ ANYWHERE.
So we popped in for a quick look around...

to pick up a menu to take home with us and

then we saw this.  Could you just walk on by?  We tried to leave.  Really we did.  We got out the door and half way down the block..... then we just couldn't do it!
So a quick snack was in order.

 And then is was gone!

I can only speak for the burnt ends from personal experience but I would agree, the best!  And to top off our fantastic, finger lickin' lip smackin' snack, the guy behind the counter gave us the last 2 little pieces of burnt ends as we were leaving.  AMAZING!  Turns out most things on their menu are gluten free!  They have a few specials that are not but the staff is very knowledgeable and gave me the run down.  Most important: Gluten free BBQ sauce.
GLUTEN FREE BBQ AND BBQ SAUCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you stop by and I'm not home you know where to find me:)

Best. Shoot. EVER.

Every once in a while I get the chance to work on a really amazing and exciting shoot.  This past Wednesday that happened with Moda Operandi.  They are working with Heritage Luxury and I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to shoot the merchandise:
Birkins.
Hermes Birkins.
Vintage Hermes Birkins.

You could say it was a fun day.  If you are like me - before last Wednesday - and have never been in close proximity to an actual Birkin check out "Bringing Home the Birkin" for a thrilling read.

 All I want for Christmas:
Electric Blue Kelly

It looks to me like this was meant to be.....

And that's a wrap!
In a few weeks I'll share the editorial from the shoot when it launches;)
