I Love me so BBQ! Like I grew up in Virgina and spent the summers in North Carolina, back yard, road side BBQ. I don't take pulled pork or sauce lightly. When I learned I was gluten intolerant I realized after the no cookiescakescupcakesbrowniespiesmuffinsfrenchbreadcroissant moment that I wouldn't be able to have my FAVORITE BBQ either: Potato buns for your pulled pork have flour in addition to all that potato AND most BBQ sauces have flour in them...... why you ask? because it's cheap and makes things nice and thick. So for the past year I have been eating bun-less pulled pork with no sauce:(
And then we decided to take an afternoon walk down 3rd ave.
So we popped in for a quick look around...
to pick up a menu to take home with us and
then we saw this. Could you just walk on by? We tried to leave. Really we did. We got out the door and half way down the block..... then we just couldn't do it!
So a quick snack was in order.
And then is was gone!
I can only speak for the burnt ends from personal experience but I would agree, the best! And to top off our fantastic, finger lickin' lip smackin' snack, the guy behind the counter gave us the last 2 little pieces of burnt ends as we were leaving. AMAZING! Turns out most things on their menu are gluten free! They have a few specials that are not but the staff is very knowledgeable and gave me the run down. Most important: Gluten free BBQ sauce.
GLUTEN FREE BBQ AND BBQ SAUCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you stop by and I'm not home you know where to find me:)
